A sensor integrated into embedded telematics accessories, the accelerometer measures speed variations. It is essential for driving analysis, especially for detecting sudden braking or excessive acceleration.

The analysis of these 2 criteria (coupled with the analysis of turns — See Gyroscope) makes it possible to define, for each driver, an “Eco-index” score and thus identify risky behaviors. Road risk prevention measures can thus be implemented to prevent risks and optimize the accident rate of the car fleet.
