Geofencing areas

A geofencing zone (or geofencing zone) is a virtual geographical barrier delimited on a map, in which a vehicle or a connected object is authorized or prohibited to enter or circulate. It can be a warehouse, a parking lot, a city, a region... The geolocation service of the OPTIMUM platform makes it possible to define, for each vehicle, an unlimited number of zones and to implement 24/7 automated surveillance. In the event of entry and/or departure from predefined geofencing areas, the fleet manager is immediately notified by means of an alert or a notification on his OPTIMUM CONNECT mobile app.
