Francine Gervazio highlights the key challenge of cost reduction for fleets and the immense potential for improvement unlocked by effective data utilization. She emphasizes the group's comprehensive approach, combining strategic fleet management expertise with Avrios and telematics know-how with Ocean and Optimum.
L’Automobile & L’Entreprise: While optimizing global mobility management costs is a hot topic, how do you analyze your performance over the first five months of 2026?
Francine Gervazio, CEO of Shiftmove: Many companies are currently actively seeking cost savings: budget freezes, process reviews, and the postponement of certain investments. However, a major cost center often remains underutilized: the vehicle fleet. Yet, it's a strategic lever. In 2026, controlling the total cost of mobility has become a key indicator for both financial departments and fleet managers. This pursuit of cost reduction also accelerates the need for tools capable of tracking the right KPIs, quickly identifying optimization levers, and guiding strategic decisions. To act effectively, it is essential to have a reliable view of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of vehicles. Companies still relying on Excel files or manual processes often lack visibility into significant expenditure items and are also exposed to compliance risks.
Reliable data helps uncover hidden costs related to maintenance, lease agreements, mileage overages, or unoptimized vehicle usage. In this context, we observe both strong loyalty from our long-standing clients and sustained growth in new client acquisition. Our existing clients continue to trust us because they concretely measure the value our solutions provide. At the same time, more and more companies are taking the plunge, convinced that digitizing and centralizing their fleet management is no longer just a technological investment but a real lever for cost reduction and performance improvement. Thanks to data analysis and improved cost transparency, our clients make more informed decisions, whether it's optimizing their contracts, arbitrating their renewal policy, or evaluating the profitability of certain vehicles. In many cases, the savings achieved in the first few months far exceed the investment in the tools. Saving just €30 to €50 per vehicle per month through better management is often enough to make the solution profitable several times over. This realization largely explains the positive momentum observed in our first five months of activity in 2026.

A&E: Can you detail the breakdown of your client portfolio (fleet sizes, sectors of activity, etc.)?
Our client portfolio is particularly diverse, both in terms of fleet size and sectors of activity. For Avrios by Shiftmove, our core target covers fleets ranging from 20 to over 10,000 vehicles. This ability to support organizations of all sizes allows us to address a wide range of sectors: construction, healthcare, field services, industry, logistics, and the public sector. Our telematics solutions, on the other hand, are primarily deployed for companies with fleets of 1 to 500 vehicles. They meet the needs of players from construction and public works, services, wholesale trade, technical activities, logistics, and local authorities. Beyond their sector of activity, these organizations share a common desire to better utilize their vehicle usage data to improve performance, safety, and cost control. We also support major players in the mobility ecosystem through white-label offerings. Our technologies are thus integrated into services offered by insurers, long-term rental companies, and other major market partners, enabling them to enrich their offerings and provide more value to their own clients.
A&E: How is your commercial offering structured, and which management tools do you primarily recommend?
We generally recommend starting with Avrios by Shiftmove, our AI-enhanced fleet management platform, which serves as the key management tool for mobility strategy. Designed for fleets of 20 to over 5,000 vehicles, it allows for data centralization, automation of administrative processes, TCO control, and management of all key indicators necessary for decision-making.
On the other hand, telematics is an essential pillar for collecting usage data. It transforms field activity into actionable information to improve operational performance, safety, cost control, and environmental footprint. Depending on the client's needs, we offer two complementary areas of expertise. Ocean by Shiftmove stands out for its expertise in geolocation and connected equipment management, particularly suited to technical and industrial environments. Optimum by Shiftmove, for its part, brings strong expertise in fleet compliance and regulatory management, including infraction and driver management, calculation and monitoring of tax obligations such as AEN, as well as environmental reporting enabling companies to measure and manage the impact of their mobility. The real magic happens when all of this is brought together on the Shiftmove platform. For example, vehicle data and mileage readings from Optimum's telematics solutions automatically synchronize with Avrios. This seamless integration allows companies to eliminate manual data entry, reduce errors, and significantly improve data quality while optimizing their daily operational management.
"Managers also seek more automation to reduce administrative tasks and focus on value-added decisions."
A&E: What are the main expectations expressed by fleets regarding your services? (support in electrification, data usage and control, pricing, etc.)
Fleet managers' expectations today revolve around three major pillars: data centralization, data reliability, and vehicle lifecycle automation. Of course, topics related to electrification, cost control, and regulatory obligations are omnipresent, but they all rely on one prerequisite: having reliable, accessible, and actionable information.
In the fleets we support, ranging from 20 to over 1,000 vehicles, we observe that many teams still spend a lot of time collecting, reconciling, and verifying data from multiple sources. Their expectation is therefore twofold: to benefit from a powerful tool capable of addressing all their challenges, while remaining simple to use daily.
Managers also seek more automation to reduce administrative tasks and focus on value-added decisions. Whether it's contract monitoring, maintenance, mileage tracking, taxation, compliance, or environmental reporting, they expect solutions capable of orchestrating the entire vehicle lifecycle with minimal manual intervention.
This is where real-time data truly shows its value. For example, in TCO analysis, actual mileages, maintenance alerts, or service deadlines can be automatically reported from vehicles. Managers thus gain a much more precise view of their costs and can act more quickly on the main performance levers. Many fleets still underestimate the impact that better control of TCO, claims, contracts, or maintenance cycles can have when supported by reliable and automated analyses.
This is precisely what they find with us, thanks to the combination of our strategic fleet management expertise with Avrios and our telematics know-how with Ocean and Optimum. This approach not only allows for data centralization and reliability but also transforms it into concrete indicators to manage costs, support mobility transitions, and make faster, more informed decisions.
