Securing and optimizing the fuel of construction vehicles
November 2022 — FRA TRAVAUX
Construction vehicles, which are essential for public works, have an average annual consumption of around 3,600 liters of fuel. Faced with this major expense item and the risk of theft, the company Optimum Automotive has developed an innovative solution to secure reservoirs and optimize energy consumption.
The device Secure consists of a sensor installed on the tank of all types of machines, regardless of the year they were put into service. A probe continuously measures the fuel level and, in the event of a suspicious sudden drop, immediately triggers an audible alarm. This alarm is intended to deter potential thieves. At the same time, the driver and the fleet manager receive an instant message notification.
This solution also offers real-time monitoring of consumption, allowing precise analysis by vehicle. In times of high fuel price inflation, this visibility allows managers to better manage fuel needs per trip, thus avoiding the unnecessary filling of the tanks.
According to Daniel Vassallucci, CEO of Optimum Automotive, “Optimum Automotive's DNA, based on innovation, has led us to focus on the recurring problems of our customers. They will be able to limit the direct losses associated with fuel theft and significantly optimize consumption.”
This solution, already proven, is intended to be deployed internationally, especially in Europe, Africa and South America, in order to meet a global need.
