Shiftmove aims to become the European market leader in digital fleet solutions by 2027 and aims to increase the efficiency of more than one million commercial vehicles. This acquisition gives birth to a group with more than 350 employees, serving 18,000 professional customers and overseeing more than 550,000 vehicles under management.

The company intends to pave the way for connected vehicles without hardware, through a powerful combination of software and telematics based on artificial intelligence. Objective: to ensure increased efficiency and reduced emissions for European fleets.

A demanding regulatory context

Pressure is increasing on fleet managers, facing increasingly stringent environmental regulations, and rising fuel, insurance and repair prices. However, only 30% of European businesses currently use software for fleet management.

A strategic operation

Berlin, Germany & Aix-en-Provence, France — October 15, 2024

Shiftmove, a German-Swiss platform resulting from the merger in 2023 of the leaders Avrios and Vimcar, announces the acquisition of Optimum Automotive, a historic French player in fleet management digital.

Optimum Automotive, which is very established in France, Portugal, Spain and Africa, has 107 employees, 7,500 customers and 200,000 managed vehicles. Thanks to this operation, Shiftmove consolidates its foothold on the largest fleet market in Europe.

A shared vision

Francine Gervazio, CEO of Shiftmove, comments:

“We have a clear vision: over 1 million vehicles will be managed via our cloud software solutions by 2027. Regulatory pressure and exploding costs require powerful tools. Our solutions combine cutting-edge software and telematics to make the fleet management simple, effective and sustainable.”

Daniel Vassallucci, founder and CEO of Optimum Automotive, adds:

“This acquisition is a major step forward. Our offerings complement each other perfectly to offer a next-generation software and telematics solution to our 18,000 joint customers.”

An opportunity for massive transformation

The combination of expertise will make it possible to further digitize the processes of SMEs and large accounts (e.g.: Hotpoint UK Appliances, DB Schenker, Flaschenpost.), in various sectors such as construction, health or administration.

By automating tasks and analyzing data, customers will be able to reduce costs, save resources, and effectively plan their transition to low-emission vehicles.

A European ambition driven by an investment giant

Behind Shiftmove is Battery Ventures, a global technology investment fund based in Boston (United States), which supports the group in its rapid development on the European market.
