Better Management of a Fleet Spread Across Multiple Territories
A family business for over 120 years, Audebert Boissons is a beverage distributor based in Auvergne and a member of the C10 network.
The company daily supplies cafes, hotels, restaurants, public institutions, and local shops in the region. It also develops its own local products: Bougnat, Krypte, and Diablotin beers, Téo coffee, Auvergnat Cola sodas, Korma whisky, and craft spirits.
For its operations, the company relies on three sites: its head office and production site in Lempdes (near Clermont-Ferrand), a logistics platform in Aurillac, and a cross-docking site in Saint-Priest-en-Jarez, near Saint-Étienne.
To manage its deliveries and technical interventions, Audebert Boissons operates a fleet of approximately 52 geolocated vehicles, including about thirty heavy goods vehicles and several service and company cars.
The beverage distribution business relies on extensive territorial coverage and high team mobility. Every day, delivery drivers, technicians, and sales representatives operate across a vast territory, primarily covering Auvergne and part of the Rhône-Alpes region.
Before the solution was implemented, several key challenges had been identified:
Quickly locating vehicles when needed,
Improving employee safety during their travels,
Gaining better visibility into vehicle movements and routes taken,
Reducing non-compliant or unauthorized vehicle use,
Preparing for an eco-driving initiative and reducing fuel consumption.
The company was also seeking a solution that respects employee privacy, complies with GDPR requirements, and can evolve with the company's needs. An eco-driving initiative will soon be deployed across all vehicles, once driver identification systems have been implemented.
“It's a tool we chose immediately because it perfectly matched our current and future needs. We haven't yet exploited its full potential, but it has already become very useful on a daily basis.”

Solutions
Vehicle Geolocation for Operational Efficiency
Audebert Boissons chose the Optimum vehicle fleet management solution to gain complete visibility over its entire fleet.
Real-time vehicle geolocation
Teams can immediately identify the vehicle closest to an urgent intervention. This feature is particularly useful for last-minute deliveries, urgent technical assistance at customer sites, or rapid sales interventions.
"When an urgent delivery comes up or a client needs a quick intervention, we check where the vehicles are and send the closest one."
Invaluable assistance for technical teams
The technical department uses geolocation daily to optimize technician movements. Managers can view team positions in real-time directly from their smartphones and immediately assign the best-placed technician to respond to an emergency.
A management support tool
Visibility into movements also allows for checking the consistency of routes taken and ensuring compliance with internal procedures. The goal is not constant monitoring but continuous improvement of organization and operational efficiency.
Simplified fine management
Thanks to the Optimum platform's connection to ANTAI, Audebert Boissons fulfills its legal obligations regarding traffic violations with just a few clicks. "This ANTAI service also allows us to significantly reduce the time spent managing fines, which was previously done manually."
Privacy and GDPR compliance
All company and service vehicles are equipped with a "privacy button," ensuring regulatory compliance and preserving authorized personal use of the vehicles.
Benefits
Responsiveness, safety, and operational performance
Significantly enhanced responsiveness
Vehicle geolocation allows teams to respond more quickly to urgent requests, thereby optimizing customer satisfaction. Managers immediately identify the employee closest to an intervention site, thus reducing response times.
Improved employee safety
Real-time location is a genuine safety tool. Should an employee encounter difficulties in the field, the company can quickly ascertain their position and arrange necessary assistance.
Reduction of non-compliant usage
The mere implementation of geolocation has eliminated certain inappropriate practices. Employees know that vehicles are tracked and naturally adopt behaviors more compliant with company rules. "Our employees are informed about the geolocation system. We had some deviations before, and they have naturally disappeared."
Fuel and travel cost savings
Although the gains are not yet precisely measured, Audebert Boissons already observes: a reduction in unnecessary travel, better control over routes, a decrease in consumption related to non-compliant usage, and a limitation of superfluous kilometers.
A driver for the CSR approach
Ecocert-certified as a 'committed wholesaler' and dedicated to a CSR approach, the company now views geolocation as a strategic tool for its future projects: deploying the 'Driving Analysis' service to all vehicles (assigned or not) to reduce accident rates, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions.
A solution that supports the company's transformation
Beyond geolocation, Audebert Boissons sees Optimum as a platform capable of progressively supporting its modernization. The company plans to enhance its use of maintenance tracking, automated alerts, driver identification, eco-driving management, and consumption analysis.
“It's a tool we chose immediately because it perfectly matched our current and future needs. We haven't yet exploited its full potential, but it has already become very useful on a daily basis.”
Thanks to this collaboration, Audebert Boissons now has better visibility into its field operations and is laying the groundwork for more efficient, responsible, and sustainable fleet management.
