Created in 2006, Européenne Optimum Automotive supports companies and public authorities in their mobility. In particular in the financial and environmental optimization of their car fleets. On the occasion of the launch of its new offer, Optimum Consulting, its CEO, Daniel Vassallucci tells us more.
What are Optimum Automotive's areas of expertise?
Daniel Vassallucci: “We offer three. Optimum Automotive: a software and hardware solution bringing together all connected services for optimizing the financial and environmental impact of fleets. Optimum Mobility: a software and hardware solution (Mobile app + management platform + international bank card) to manage, optimize and finance the mobility of employees. Finally, Optimum Consulting proposes support solutions for fleet managers on topics in line with their concerns. Like the energy transition, for example.”
In addition to this energy transition (and all that it implies), what are the main challenges that business fleets must now face, in your opinion?
D.V.: “The energy transition is indeed one of the major issues. However, he is not the only one. The optimization of the overall cost of the fleet (and more generally of mobility) and the introduction of new mobilities, such as carsharing or carpooling, are subjects that are just as important.”
What does your new offer bring compared to what you offered up until now?
D.V.: “Faced with these new challenges, and because they lack data rich enough to inform their decisions, fleet managers are often lacking. With Optimum Consulting, we therefore propose to provide collection and analysis tools that allow to identify optimization levers. Thus, we propose four “connected missions”. LThe electrification of the fleet, its optimization (reducing the fleet), the optimization of the carbon footprint, and the implementation of new mobilities.
The objective of each is to collect data over a significant period of time to analyze current uses and thus identify areas for optimization. And Optimum Consulting also offers “delegated management” services for vehicles and drivers. Of reports regular and detailed allow us to understand the actions taken, and to measure the progress made.”
And compared to competing offers?
D.V.: “The market is very specialized. Of course, there are players positioned on the geolocation, on carsharing or even on fleet management. However, The problems are 360°. To understand them simultaneously, it is therefore necessary to have 360° solutions available. Through Optimum Automotive, the fleet manager has the ability to deal with these various subjects from a single tool.”
“Reducing fleet costs, generally the second expense item, is the guarantee of the financial health of our businesses.” Daniel Vassallucci, CEO of Optimum Automotiv
Among the main innovations, the “Plug & Collect” service. What is his “+”?
D.V.: “In fact, we offer different ways of collecting data. For businesses not equipped with embedded telematics solutions, we actually designed “Plug & Collect”. This unique solution makes it possible to collect and analyze data related to the use of vehicles, of all or part of the fleet for a specific period of time. For those already equipped, we have designed “Data Collection”: APIs capable of connecting to the current solution. Finally, we have official approvals for the brands Peugeot, Citroën, Citroën, DS, Renault, Opel. For businesses with pre-equipped vehicles, we can therefore collect data directly on pre-installed boxes.”
Aren't some employees likely to cringe at these embedded boxes?
D.V.: “The preservation of our environment concerns us all! Likewise, the reduction of fleet costs (generally, the second expense item) is the guarantee of the financial health of our companies. And, in any case, our solutions are not intended to monitor employees!”
What is the profile of the companies that use you?
D.V.: “Small businesses (a single vehicle) as well as very large groups (1,000 vehicles and more). The implementation of our solutions makes it possible, regardless of the size of the fleet, to achieve significant savings From the first month. EOn average, €125 in savings per month and per vehicle.”
You are also present in Africa and America (North and South). Are the needs the same everywhere, or are there specificities specific to each country?
D.V.: “Specificities do exist. LOM, which currently focuses the attention of fleet managers in France, has no equivalent in Africa where the issues are more focused on monitoring and securing vehicles and fuel.”
Projects?
D.V.: “Continue and intensify our international development!”
