Shiftmove appoints Taco van der Leij CEO France
A strategic appointment to strengthen its presence on the European market
Shiftmove, European player in fleet management Intelligent, announces the appointment of Taco van der Leij At the post of Managing Director France and Senior Vice President International.
A former director of Webfleet Europe, Van der Leij has over 15 years of experience in the connected fleet sector. It succeeds Daniel Vassallucci, founder ofOptimum Automotive, bought by Shiftmove in October 2024.
A technological turning point in the mobility sector
This nomination is part of a Paradigm shift : the gradual abandonment of hardware telematics solutions in favor of a AI-powered software platform, capable of aggregating and exploiting vehicle data in real time.
“Shiftmove enables smarter financial management, automated workflows, and data-based decision making”, explains Taco van der Leij.
The objective: simplify management processes, optimize costs and anticipate growing regulatory constraints.
France, a strategic market for Shiftmove
The integration ofOptimum Automotive, a recognized French technological player, is an essential lever for Shiftmove's European ambition. By relying on this local base, the company intends to capture a significant part of the French and European market.
“Our ambition is clear: to become the European leader in digital solutions for fleet management by 2027, by driving more than one million vehicles,” declares Francine Gervazio, CEO of the Shiftmove group.
A clear positioning: fleet CRM
Shiftmove is positioned as a centralized platform for fleet managers, replacing manual management and dispersed tools with a unified and automated solution, suitable for both TPE only for large accounts.
“Whether it's fleets of 10 or 10,000 vehicles, we offer a scalable and transparent solution”, adds Francine Gervazio.
A changing sector, an offensive strategy
As the adoption of AI in mobility accelerates, Van der Leij sees this assumption of office as a long-term strategic commitment.
“Many initiatives in this area have never been successful. Shiftmove now offers a real opportunity for operational transformation.”, he concludes.
As the new CEO France, he will manage all national operations, while contributing to the European growth strategy of the group.
