Optimum Automotive makes it easy to recharge electric vehicles at home and reimburse employees
Last week, Optimum Automotive unveiled an innovative solution aimed at simplifying the charging of electric vehicles at home as well as the reimbursement of expenses incurred by employees.
With government goals to green car fleets, managers are facing new challenges. Among them, managing the charging of electric vehicles, a crucial aspect in controlling the costs associated with zero-emission vehicles.
Charging at home, a complex issue
While businesses promote on-site charging, they are also looking to encourage charging at home where possible. However, the latter raises many questions, in particular concerning the reimbursement of expenses incurred by employees, which complicates management for fleet managers.
An innovative solution from Optimum Automotive
To respond to these problems, Optimum Automotive has developed a solution that automates the detection of home recharges and facilitates the calculation of reimbursements. Thanks to the telematics boxes installed in the factory by the manufacturers (with official approval from Optimum Automotive) or to the CAN boxes provided by the company, essential information such as the charge level, the place of charging and the price per kWh are collected in real time.
An optimized calculation of the total cost of ownership (TCO)
The fleet manager then validates the home refills. After validation, the software automatically generates an invoice and a cost, which are integrated into the calculation of the vehicle and fleet TCO. This feature also makes it possible to produce a summary file listing the amounts to be reimbursed to each employee concerned.
